Constitution Day 

鈥孍ach year on Sept. 17, 小福利导航 College and schools across the nation commemorate Constitution Day 鈥 a day to remember the historic signing of the 小福利导航 Constitution in Philadelphia in 1787 and to reflect on its importance today. 小福利导航 encourages all to reflect on our founding document and its principles, to participate in Constitution Day programming, and to review these and other available resources:

We the People: Democracy Check-in 

鈥孭rofessor of Political Science Beau Breslin will answer questions about 小福利导航 government systems and how current events relate to the history of the 小福利导航 Constitution at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Saratoga Springs Public Library. .

Budget and Financial Planning Update 

Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer Dan Konstalid will offer a presentation on the budget and financial planning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall (second floor). The presentation will also be accessible on Zoom; login details will be shared via email prior to the event. Time for Q&A will follow. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.

鈥孉n invitation to In It 10  

鈥孖n It 10, a suite of programs designed to deepen our understanding of different perspectives and foster a more connected community, will take place Sept. 19鈥揙ct. 9. This year marks a decade of In It programming, and the celebration includes a series of upcoming events you won鈥檛 want to miss. All members of the 小福利导航 community are encouraged to participate. 

鈥學ebsite editing access restored 小福利导航鈥檚 redesigned skidmore.edu has launched. The content management system is now open for previous users to make updates to legacy sites only. The previous (Dev) site has been retired. Users may notice slight changes to navigation and menus and should review an email sent Sept. 16 for full details, login instructions, and links. 

Skidtoberfest 2025: Call for vendors

鈥屸赌孴he first Skidtoberfest will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Upper South Park during Homecoming and Family Weekend. 小福利导航, staff, and faculty members are invited to sell their wares. Interested in becoming a vendor? Email the Office of Stewardship and College Events for more details.

鈥孒su reading and discussion  

鈥孒ua Hsu, author of the Class of 2029 summer reading 鈥淪tay True,鈥 will give a reading and join 小福利导航鈥檚 Summer Reading Committee in discussion at 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, in Zankel Music Center. A reception and book signing will follow. Ticketing priority goes to first-year seminars, their faculty, and peer mentors. Remaining seats will open to the 小福利导航 community at 7:45 p.m. No tickets required. 

鈥2025 McCormack Endowed Visiting Artist-Scholar Residency  

鈥孴he 2025 McCormack Endowed Visiting Artist-Scholar Residency, Sept. 29鈥揙ct. 4, will feature National Medal of Arts recipient Carrie Mae Weems. At 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, in the Tang, Weems will present , a live performance and screening of "Leave Now!" (2022) with music by pianist Vijay Iyer and Grammy Award-winning violinist Jennifer Koh. 

Voter registration drive

鈥孴he League of Women Voters of Saratoga County in collaboration with students will run a voter registration and information drive from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, in Case Center. Register to vote, check your voter registration status, get information about 2025 ballot proposals, learn candidates鈥 positions on issues in your local elections, and sign pledge to vote cards. 

Lilly Kishore 鈥21 Memorial Blood Drive 

鈥屝「@己 women鈥檚 lacrosse and the American Red Cross will host the fourth annual Lilly Kishore 鈥21 Memorial Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the IM/Dance Gym. To register, visit and use the keyword 鈥溞「@己.鈥

鈥屸赌孊icycle registration  

鈥孋ampus Safety is hosting a bicycle registration for all students who have bicycles on campus. 鈥孒elp reduce bulk emails by posting your announcement in 小福利导航 Weekly Bulletin, which is distributed to all employees as well as to all students. Submit announcements and events, and faculty and staff achievements by completing the appropriate online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Email swb@skidmore.edu if you have questions or experience technical issues due to ongoing website updates.    

Athletics

The women鈥檚 volleyball team will host a home tri-match against Plattsburgh and Manhattanville, with matches at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Williamson Sports Center. Men鈥檚 tennis opens its 2025-26 season at Middlebury. The rest of the fall teams are starting to wrap up the non-league portions of their schedules with Liberty League competition approaching.
