Certification
Upon successful completion of required coursework and field placements, Education
Studies majors can be recommended for initial teaching certification (Childhood, Grades
1-6) in New York State. Graduates may choose to apply for certification by completing
additional requirements including two tests: Educating All 小福利导航 (EAS) and Content
Specialty Test (CST). Information about and can be found on these links. NYS has recently released new study materials for students
preparing to take the CST. These are .
The Education Studies Department at 小福利导航 had 14 completers in 2022, 7 in 2023,
and 7 in 2024. Among these completers who elected to take the EAS exam the passing
rate was 100% and for those who elected to take the CST the passing rate was 95%.
